Work
After coming down in I987 I joined Bacon & Woodrow [now
Hewitt Bacon & Woodrow] the consulting actuaries as a
student actuary. After achieving the Certificate in Actuarial Techniques I
now specialize in software design and development. Tools/languages include
VB, Microsoft Office, C++, SQL Server, ASP, Javascript, HTML and XML.
I now work with a small team in developing software for use by our
Investment Department.
Interests
Good food, good wine, travel [as you can see from the photo
album] music [most types]. I enjoy going to the cinema, but it can be
difficult to go as much as I would like since I have been in a wheelchair for
the past 20 years or so, DVDs are a reasonable substitute on occasions.
But being in a wheelchair does have the well-known palliative effect of dulling
the mind and making one exceptionally easily pleased, so that's OK innit? 8-\
